Nigerian Journal of Engineering is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and responsible scholarly publishing. The journal follows established international principles of publication ethics and requires all authors, reviewers, editors, and members of the editorial board to uphold standards of honesty, transparency, confidentiality, fairness, and accountability throughout the publication process. 

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, accurately reported, and not under consideration or published elsewhere. All sources must be appropriately acknowledged, and plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct are strictly prohibited. Authors are also responsible for declaring any conflicts of interest, obtaining necessary ethical approvals where applicable, and ensuring that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the work.

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, confidential, and constructive assessments, disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and refrain from using unpublished information for personal advantage. Editors are responsible for making fair and impartial editorial decisions based on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of submitted manuscripts, without discrimination or undue influence.

The journal will investigate allegations of research or publication misconduct and may take appropriate corrective action, including manuscript rejection, retraction, publication of corrections or expressions of concern, and notification of relevant institutions where necessary.
